They Were the Stars in the Sky

I was at a BBQ at a friend's house yesterday and I was captivated by their patio lanterns.  I couldn't resist a few snaps.

I Must Really Like Flowers

I was at a BBQ in Brantford yesterday at my friend Katie's parent's house.  Her mom has some beautiful flowers growing around the property and here are some of my favourites.

I Have No Idea What That Red One Is

My brother was in the dog house while I was up visiting last weekend (the story is long and involved but basically has to do with strippers) so as most husbands would he bought his wife flowers.  Here are some close-ups of a few of my favourites.  If anyone knows what the red one is I'd love to know.

Happy Birthday Mindy!

My good friend Mindy celebrated her birthday yesterday.  We had good luck with the weather--the rain held off and the cloud cover prevented us all from being burnt to a crisp.  Mindy and her husband Chris recently worked very hard to clear out their over-grown back yard.  I managed to get a few pretty flower pictures and some shots of pears just starting to develop on their pear trees.

Flutter By

I spent Mother's Day with my dad this year and we went to the Butterfly Conservatory.  It's a wonderful experience and I encourage all of you to go.  Here's a few shots from that trip.

Desperately Seeking Spring

I'm making up for not posting recently by offering you a plethora of images I took with Katie today on our second field trip.  This time we were wandering along a walking trail in St. Jacob's looking for signs of spring.

Beautiful Flowers for a Beautiful Person
