Giving Thanks

I have much to be thankful for, but this weekend I was thankful for the wonderful time spent with my family on a beautiful autumn day.  Here's a few pics taken with a neat camera app I downloaded onto my phone.

I Could Get Used to This

We spent Sunday in the Santa Cruz wine appellation which is on the side of the Santa Cruz mountains.  The wines are amazing and so are the vistas.

The first winery didn't have much of a view, but it did have this nifty statue and this pretty courtyard.

These next several pictures were taken at the second winery where we also had lunch.

The rest of these pictures were taken at the third winery which was sorta modeled after a Tuscan villa.

Guy's Big Day at the Beach

The End of the Rainbow

The weather may be cold and rainy this long weekend, but rain brings rainbows and a 3 day weekend is always worth celebrating!

Spring Comes Early

I took these pictures on Sunday at a nature area in south Kitchener.  Those clouds are called Mare's Tails.

There's been a lot of beaver activity this year--these trees have been coated with something to stop the beavers from chewing them more.

I love the reflection of the trees on the water.

They're hard to see, but there are about 5 turtles sunning themselves on this log.  There are many indigenous red-eared sliders in this area--Speedy and Zippy were red-eared sliders.
